Why use a torque multiplier? It is used to reduce the effort needed to tighten or loosen a fastener. By using a torque multiplier, thousands of foot pounds of torque can be accurately applied with a standard 250 foot pound torque wrench. Our multipliers ranging in output torque from 750 to 8,000 ft lbs. typically require a maximum input torque of only 200 ft lbs. or less. All of our tools can be operated with any standard torque wrench and will "multiply" the torque to achieve significantly higher torque outputs.
